Kondom
Das Kondom ist weder out noch altmodisch: es schützt vor HIV und zum teil auch vor anderen STI (sexuell übertragbare Infektionen). Richtig angewendet ist es ein guter Schutz. Immer verfügbar und günstig: Sichtbarer Schutz!
PrEP
Die PrEP ist medikamentöser Schutz vor HIV. Negative nehmen HIV-Medikamente die vor einer Ansteckung Schützen: Sex auf PrEP ist Safer Sex. eine Pille täglich, regelmäßige Tests und eine Ärztliche Abklärung gehören zu dieser Variante von Safer Sex dazu. Eine tolle und relativ neue Möglichkeit sich zu schützen.
Schutz durch Therapie
“Schutz durch Therapie” bedeutet, dass HIV-Positive, deren Viruslast seit einem halben Jahr stabil unter der Nachweisgrenze ist, nicht infektiös sind. Man kann sich bei ihnen nicht mit HIV infizieren. Sex mit ihnen ist daher Safer Sex!

There are there very effective safer Sex strategies that prevent an HIV-infection:
1. Condom
2. PrEP (Pre-Exposure prophylaxis)
3. TasP (‘treatment as Prevention’)
Condom
Condoms are the most common safer sex strategy. They work fine and also reduce the risk of infection with other STIs (Sexually transmitted Infections). Remember: don’t use twice, don’t use two at once, use non-greasy lubricants and put them on, when you have an erection.
PrEP
PrEP (Pre-Exposure prophylaxis) means that a HIV-negative person takes medication, that prevents an infection, when exposed to the virus. Sex on PrEP is safer sex. You have the take the pill consistently and also have to have regular checkups with a doctor. PrEP only prevents HIV-infections, not other STIs.
TasP
TasP (‘treatment as Prevention’) means that a HIV-positive person which is under effective treatment with an undetectable virus load for at least 6 month is not infectious. therefor this person cannot pass on the virus. Sex with a person with an undetectable virus load is safer sex.
Thats why we are part of the worldwide campaign: U=U – Undetectable=Uninfectious
